A friend of mine used to work as a lawyer, just like me, but she gave up her job a couple of months ago. It might seem strange for some people, why should anyone resign a career like that? Well, she never really enjoyed it, to be honest. She always wanted to do something else and she was never truly interested in law. Does her choice make more sense now? I think it definitely does. I would do the same if I were her. My friend decided to sell gold that she had once inherited from her wealthy grandfather. She sold her bullion bars to a local investor who offered a large amount of money for them. She started looking for a place to rent immediately. Soon she found an old shop in town that used to belong to a bookshop owner, but he no longer used it. She rented the shop and redecorated it. Then she ordered some products and added some more that she had grown in her garden. I visited her shop a couple of weeks ago. The place was really well-equipped and I could see that my friend was happy doing her new job. There were fresh spouts, vegetables and fruit, soy milk products, cereals, pasta, rice and seaweed at her shop. I guess she does not regret the fact that she decided to sell gold and open the shop. The company might even develop into a chain of shops in the future.
